oneLife - living with epilepsy
Every person has a different experience of their epilepsy. 'oneLife – living with epilepsy' looks at how epilepsy has affected the lives of four people.
There are many different sources of information available about epilepsy as a condition. This programme is different. Through interviews with four different people, this programme looks at what it is like to live with epilepsy.
Priya, Matt, Helen and Lloyd openly share their thoughts and experiences about their epilepsy, including how they felt when they were diagnosed, the effect their epilepsy has on them and the people around them, and how they have come to terms with living with epilepsy .
“You could feel very lonely…very lonely no matter how much you were surrounded by family and friends.” Helen
“Here I am today, getting on with my life.” Lloyd
“I’ve struggled with having seizures and I’ve come through the end of it and now I’m living my life completely the same as anybody else would.” Matt
“Sometimes you don’t want to know, sometimes you just want to hide away and not know anything, you just don’t want to think about it, you just want to forget about it, but then, then the time comes when you want to know.” Priya
This programme is priced at £12 and available on both video or DVD. The DVD includes English subtitles and 8 additional languages (Bengali, French, German, Gujarati, Italian, Punjabi, Spanish and Urdu).
