Ictal – during a seizure.
Idiopathic epilepsy – where the cause of someone’s epilepsy is genetic or inherited. This includes inheriting a low seizure threshold or having a genetic condition like Tuberous Sclerosis.
Inherited – characteristics that are passed to you from your parents.
