Support workers

About the role

Our support workers provide personal care and support to the service users on our site in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire.

A personalised training programme will give you the skills you need to progress your career with the organisation that’s leading epilepsy care, so no prior experience is necessary.

The opportunities are varied, involving considerable interaction with residents. Support workers are part of a multi-disciplinary team and become fully involved with our clients, helping them to reach their highest potential and maximum quality of life through individualised care plans.

We encourage applications from experienced support workers as well as those new to the care profession.

Salary

Pay is assessed against experience, knowledge and skills.  The pay range is £6.83 to £9.11 per hour.

For an applicant with no prior experience our starting salary is £6.83 per hour (£13,364 basic) moving to £7.07 per hour (£13,822 basic) after successful completion of a 6 month probation period.

For an applicant with a relevant NVQ and one year's experience our starting salary is £7.07 per hour (£13,822 basic) moving to £7.77 (£15,184 basic) after successful completion of a 6 month probation period.

Shift patterns are on a 24 hour rotating shift pattern so you will be required to work, early, late and night shifts.  30% shift premiums apply for night and weekend shifts.

You can progress up the salary range  by completing designated training courses.  Once all of the designated training has been completed your salary could reach £17,810 (basic).

You will also benefit from 27 days annual leave per annum plus Bank Holidays.
