Professionals enquiry service terms and conditions
The professional enquiry facility is a service provided by Epilepsy Society for general educational purposes. The service is available to users with a professional interest in epilepsy. Such professionals may submit questions to Epilepsy Society staff team via the website. A response will be posted on the Questions and Answers page, normally within 10 working days. This service is provided on condition that the User acknowledges the following:
The information contained in Epilepsy Society's responses is intended solely for general educational purposes, and does not constitute medical advice
- The information is correct at the date shown on each response
- The information contained in this service is not intended nor implied to be a substitute for professional medical advice relative to any individual's medical condition
- Patients should always seek the advice of their doctor or other qualified health provider prior to starting any new treatment, changing or ceasing their treatment
- Physicians retain their individual responsibility in respect of their patients, and shall not interpret responses from Epilepsy Society as specialist advice in any individual case
- Responses are not designed to replace a physician's independent judgement about the appropriateness of diagnosis, assessment and/or treatment for an individual patient
- Epilepsy Society reserves the right to publish within the 'Questions and Answers' page, any question received by Epilepsy Society, and its response, excluding any reference to the individual submitting the original question.
