Questions from healthcare professionals

Q: How often is it necessary to update skills in the administration of rectal medication?

A: The JEC recommendation is to repeat training in rectal diazepam every two years. However it sometimes happens that people have attended training but haven’t actually administered rectal diazepam since. If this is the case, and they need to administer rectal medication for the first time, they may need a refresher sooner than two years, so that they are adequately trained.
