WELCOME to the forum Laura & Andrew,

Glad to have you both here. Ask / answer questions or just let off steam when necessary.

There are great people here (some a little iron crazy :P ) but all eager to help any way they can.

Jake

Hi, everyone. Well to be honest I'm not exactly new to the forum. I just had that much difficulty logging in after a long absence I reinvented myself - and became a new member, as it were.
My new username is, 'Duffer', that's a clue to some of the regular contributors to this amazing forum where you can share your experiences, and difficulties and triumphs or just have a rant.
We all let off steam from time to time don't we? Well I'm looking forward to contributing and asking, and more importantly receiving advice and help from others on this forum. I will just have to be patient until my moderation period is over with before making more up to date replies to other cotributors, 'Duffer' or what!? - there's a clue again.
Regards Duffer. Thank you.

Hi all! :) I'm Clare, 35, from Lincolnshire. I've had epilepsy since birth, & have gone through some terrible experiences of bullying, just because I have epilepsy & find things a little longer to pick up than others would! I HATE USERS, BULLIES, LIARS, CRIMINALS & LOUTS! I only like decent, kind, caring, genuine, understanding people. I've now not got any friends because ex-friends have just used me & then just either bullied me or put me through absolute nightmares! Would just like to find some friends who are genuine & like myself. Anyway, take care everyone, & hope to hear from you soon! Best Wishes, Clare. :)

Hello
My name is Neil. I was diagnosed with full TCs when i was 17. Im now 41.
I have been taking Lamyctal for about two years but my epilepsy has never been under control what ever drug i have taken. I have about five/six seizures per year.
I am a housing support worker, based in a hostel, trying to get young people in to their own homes.
When i started my current job i didnt tell them i had epilepsy because i thought, if i do tell them, i wont get the job. Employers never seem sympathetic towards epilepsy.
i didnt want to discuss my epilepsy for years, probably not until mt thirties, kinda being in denial, but if anything, i am proud to have epilepsy now.

Hi all! Thanks very much for accepting me into the epilepsy group! It would be so great to make some new friends, have a good laugh & that everyone can support each other in a certain way with their epilepsy, cos we're not alone! I'm a bit depressed at the moment & I suffer with emotional related epilepsy-top trigger for a seizure. Things have just been getting to me & getting bullied & picked on is absolutely disgraceful! :x I don't see why people should pick on anyone who is slightly different in someway-with any health difficulty.

Ex-boyfriends have just used me, also friends, the same. Now, I don't have a boyfriend or many friends at all. A lot of older people I come across, can't understand why a really nice, caring, understanding, friendly person like me would get picked on! They say that it is just ridiculous! I agree totally, with them! It really is not fair to pick on someone, just because they have somesort of health problem or disability, is it? I mean, I have a VNS stimulator machine installed, & people imitate my voice because, unfortunately, it gets affected when the machine is working. I hate those sorts of people, & people who use me-had plenty of experience with that!

Anyway, it will be great to hear from nice, genuine, decent people for a change! :D

Take care all of you & hope to hear from you soon!

Clare.x
