Become a member

Our membership schemes offer great benefits but more than that they are an invaluable form of support for our work to help everyone who is affected by epilepsy. Whether your interest in epilepsy is personal or professional, we have schemes to suit everyone starting from as little as 26 pence per week (£13.50 per year).

Awareness raising

Epilepsy is often described as a cinderella condition. Even in the 21st century it is widely misunderstood, and people with epilepsy frequently suffer the consequences of this lack of understanding. We are working to tackle the effects of years of prejudice.

Did you know ... ?

Caesar the Seahorse (named after the Roman Emperor, Julius Caesar, who had epilepsy) is our fundraising mascot.

Why the seahorse?
Hippocampus means seahorse in Ancient Greek, and the hippocampus in the brain is often the focus of epileptic activity.
