Skydives

Calling all adrenaline junkies! No experience necessary; must provide own enthusiasm and bravery.

Derek's sky dive

If you're looking for a challenge, why not take to the skies for Epilepsy Society? We'd love you to sign up for a skydive at one of the many sites around the country, or join in with our special skydive day this Spring! You can take part on your own or with friends and family, and have the experience of a lifetime.

If you raise your minimum sponsorship amount, you jump for FREE! The money you raise will help us continue to support all those affected by epilepsy.

"It was indescribably fantastic, a thrilling adrenaline rush, second to none! I would strongly recommend it - it was brilliant!"
 - Derek Wilson, member of Epilepsy Society's flying squad.

Choose your jump

The choice of jump is completely up to you and as long as you raise the minimum sponsorship level you will be able to jump for free.

Every penny you raise over the minimum amount will come straight to Epilepsy Society. You are also more than welcome to cover the cost of the jump yourself and that way all your sponsorship will go to Epilepsy Society.

All parachutists are recommended to take out personal accident insurance. Full details can be obtained from the Skyline website (opens in a new window).

Tandem
  • Your jump and training will be completed in one day
  • You will be safely harnessed to an experienced parachute instructor at all times
  • You will jump from at least 10,000 feet
  • You will freefall down to 5,000 feet - falling through the air at 120mph!

Minimum sponsorship: £395

Static line parachute jump

 How to book your jump

  1. Choose your jump site from the 24 available airfields across the country (Cornwall, Honiton, Salisbury, Maidstone, Marlow, Swindon, Cirencester, Swansea, Bicester, Brackley, Cambridge, Norwich, Peterborough, Nottingham, Whitchurch, Brigg, Bridlington, Lancaster, Grange-over-Sands, Durham, Coleraine, Auchterarder, St Andrews, Errol). You will automatically be booked at the jump site closest to your home unless you specify otherwise.
Please note: If you're signing up for our Epilepsy Society skydive day, you don't need to pick a site.

  2. Complete an online reservation form (opens in new window) or contact the fundraising team. If you book directly please let us know that you are planning a jump. If you'd like to take part in the Epilepsy Society skydive day, you'll need to complete this specialised form.

  3. Return your reservation form to Skyline with your deposit of £70 as soon as possible to secure your chosen date.

  4. Fundraise! You now need to raise at least the minimum amount required to make your jump. We encourage you to set yourself a goal to exceed this because every penny over the minimum goes directly to supporting Epilepsy Society’s work.
  5. You pay for your jump and hand in your sponsorship money at the airfield on the day. If you raise the minimum amount in fundraising you are permitted to take the cost of your jump from the money you raise. If your money has been raised online Skyline can invoice Epilepsy Society to pay the cost of your jump. In this case please contact the Epilepsy Society fundraising team before you jump.
  6. Make your jump and have the experience of a lifetime!
