Helpline is available during Christmas holiday for people affected by epilepsy
The National Society for Epilepsy’s (NSE) confidential helpline will be kept open over Christmas, for anyone wishing to talk about epilepsy.
Trained helpline workers staff will be available on 01494 601 400 (national call rate) to answer questions, give up-to-date information, and give callers the time to talk during the festive season.
Christine Brock, the charity’s helpline team leader, said: “Christmas can be a difficult, stressful and lonely time for many people. We decided to keep the helpline open for anyone with epilepsy who has concerns or for anyone who is worried about a family member or friend.”
Although the line will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day it will remain open from 10am to 1pm on December 24th 29th, 30th and 31st. The helpline will be back to its usual time, 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday, on Monday January 4th.
