Graham Faulkner: Chief Executive
Graham Faulkner joined Epilepsy Society as Chief Executive in October 2000. He has a background in social work and was with the Leonard Cheshire Foundation for many years, rising to become the charity's director of planning and development. Graham came to Epilepsy Society from Rehab UK, where he was Chief Executive for two years.
Professor Ley Sander: Medical Director
Professor Ley Sander was appointed medical director of Epilepsy Society in February 2012. He is professor of neurology and clinical epilepsy and honorary consultant neurologist with a specialist interest in epilepsy at Epilepsy Society and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He heads the World Health Organisation Collaborative Centre for Research and Training in Neurosciences in London and is also the scientific director of SEIN, the Epilepsy Institutes of the Netherlands Foundation.
Karen Lane: Director of Services
Karen Lane joined Epilepsy Society in 2001. Throughout her career Karen has worked in health, social services and the voluntary sector both within the UK and abroad. Trained in both general and psychiatric nursing, Karen has spent the last 20 years managing services and was Chief Executive with Wimbledon Care Partnership, a mental health charity, prior to coming to Epilepsy Society.
Bridget Gardiner: Director of Fundraising and Marketing
Bridget joined Epilepsy Society in 2007. She was previously Director of Fundraising and Marketing for Richard House Children’s Hospice in London. She has a distinguished and successful career in fundraising and marketing including a period as marketing manager at Pizza Hut. She has worked for RELATE, the Countryside Commission, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers and QUIT.
Peter Collins: Director of Finance and Administration
Peter Collins joined Epilepsy Society as Director of Finance and Administration in April 2010. A chartered accountant, he has held senior financial positions in private industry with Olivetti, Lockheed and NCR. In the charity sector, he was Director of Finance and Infrastructure with Samaritans for over four years prior to joining Epilepsy Society.
