Epilepsy social care
We recognise the need to reflect society’s expectations, to change how we provide some of our services and are working to create an enabling culture. This includes moving some clients from care homes into supported living with complementary support packages; giving those clients more autonomy and enabling them to be contributing members of society.
Clients who require residential care in one of our care homes are encouraged and empowered to take decisions as appropriate about the provision of their service and we work to ensure that the individual is supported and is able to contribute at all stages. Clients are also able to influence our decision-making process through the residents committee.
Overall, we aim to provide integrated health and social care with a person-centred approach to the provision of the service.
