Carers Weeks 2011
As part of Carers Week 2011 (13-18 June), Epilepsy Society is encouraging people to seek information and support.
Epilepsy affects nearly 500,000 people in the UK - about 1 in every 131 people - and carers play a huge part in the lives of many people with the condition.
Amanda Cleaver, Epilepsy Society’s communications manager, said: “Carers of people with the condition need help, support and information to support them in the role of a carer.”
If you are a carer of someone with epilepsy, we have a confidential helpline on 01494 601400 offering a time to talk, information and emotional support. Special information packages, which may also prove useful, can be found at our online shop under 'Featured items'.
