Epilepsy Society social worker vodcast
Epilepsy Society’s social worker Sally Garrett-Smith has been showcased in a vodcast for social workers.
Community Care, an online magazine for social workers, chose to spotlight Sally’s role as a social worker specialising in epilepsy, for the first of a new series of guides looking at various aspects of social work.
Sir William Gowers Assessment Centre
In the vodcast Sally, one of two social workers at Epilepsy Society’s Sir William Gowers Centre for treatment and assessment, explains how she helps people with hard-to-treat epilepsy get the care and help they are entitled to.
Sally is filmed talking about her specialist role and explaining how people with uncontrolled seizures are helped by the assessment centre’s multi disciplinary team of medical consultants, nursing staff, occupational therapists, psychologists and key workers.
