Hardest hit at tipping point

Today sees the launch of ‘Hardest Hit’ week and the publication of a report  outlining the impact of cuts to disability benefits and the impact of welfare reforms.

The report, from a coalition of charities which includes Epilepsy Society, is based on a recent survey of more than 4,500 disabled people and their views and experiences of the welfare and social care system.

Epilepsy Society’s communications and campaigns manager Amanda Cleaver said: 'The report reveals a series of shocking statistics.  Disabled people and their families are already struggling to make ends meet – and there are still a significant number of benefit cuts to come.  This report aims to give a voice to the many millions of disabled people who are looking to Government to  make the right decisions over the next year.'
