New book highlights the impact of severe epilepsy

Published earlier this year, William Fiennes' The Music Room is an account of growing up in a castle with a brother who has epilepsy.

William Fiennes, author of The Snow Geese, describes his childhood in a 700 year old castle while paying tribute to his brother who developed severe epilepsy and sustained irreversible brain damage, which left him prone to violent outbursts. The Music Room is about the relationship between two brothers and a journey towards an understanding of the mind.
