Epilepsy awareness
This three-hour course for nurses and carers will enable delegates to deliver patient focused care. The course programme includes:
- international classification of seizures and their management
- status epilepticus
- sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP)
- non-epileptic attack disorder (NEAD)
The information about epilepsy with its link to learning disability, behaviour and mortality will enable delegates to appreciate the complexity of this condition. A psychosocial workshop is an integral part of this course. The level of knowledge and information provided will depend on delegates’ exposure to complex client groups.
Maximum delegates: 20
