Celebrating International Epilepsy Day
Today (9 February) marks the first International Epilepsy Day - which aims to improve epilepsy awareness in every region of the world and highlight the urgent need for increased research into the condition.
The event is the joint initiative of The International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE) and The International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE). International Epilepsy Day will be celebrated in the 138 countries in which the two organisations are represented. People across the world will be sharing their experience of what it's like to live with the condition.
Here Daniel Pruce, deputy ambassador at the British Embassy in Madrid, talks about his epilepsy and how it relates to his work.
