Epilepsy surgery featured on BBC 2 Newsnight

Epilepsy Society's medical director Professor Ley Sander featured in a moving film about epilepsy surgery in last night's BBC 2 'Newsnight' programme. The  programme also included an interview with supporter  Andy Swarbrick who lost his daughter Jane to Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP).

The film was made by award winning journalist James Clayton, who worked closely with Epilepsy Society's communications team.

Communications manager  at Epilepsy Society Amanda Cleaver said: 'The film is very powerful . It addresses  many of the issues people face when considering epilepsy surgery.'

You can watch the film  on BBC iplayer  27.56 minutes into the Newsnight programme (available for four weeks).
