James Cracknell's message for London Marathon

11 April 2014

Olympic athlete James Cracknell will be running for Epilepsy Society's 'team purple' at the Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday.  James has sent this message of support to spur on our runners.

Good luck for the London Marathon. I've been lucky enough to do a variety of sporting events but I can honestly say London is the most special single day of sport I've done.  Not because of the personal satisfaction but the phenomenal, selfless support of the crowds cheering every runner.  Not every step will be fun but remember what you're running for. Epilepsy is a misunderstood and stigmatised condition so raising both funds and awareness of Epilepsy Society is vitally important, so thank you.

And good luck team purple from all of us at Epilepsy Society!
