Epilepsy Society thanks Purple Day supporters

Thank you so much for all the support you have shown for Purple Day 2016!

Purple Day, devoted to raising funds and awareness of epilepsy, was held this year on 26 March.

Hundreds of supporters told us about events they were holding in their local areas to raise money, from cake sales to sponsored walks.

We have already been thrilled to see so many photos of workplaces, schools and homes that turned purple for the day.

Text donations raised £1,470 with a further £2,500 from individual donations on the day.  With money still being sent in, we expect to be able to announce the total raised in the next couple of months.

Epilepsy Society was re-tweeted by several celebrities supporting Purple Day: Maddy Hill, who  plays Nancy in EastEnders, Carley Stenson who played Stephanie in Hollyoaks and Matt Crooks, who plays football for Accrington Stanley.
