Epilepsy expert to talk about conditions which coexist alongside epilepsy

Epilepsy Society's medical director, Professor Ley Sander will be delivering The Sir John Monash Lecture at Monash University, Malaysia on 1 March 2018. He will be talking about medical conditions which people with epilepsy also experience.
Professor Sander will be examining the possible mechanisms which may play a role in comorbidities and epilepsy. He will be discussing psychological conditions such as anxiety, depression and poor self esteem, as well as vascular and auto-immune problems and cancers.
Ley is professor at University College London Institute of Neurology and is the research and development director of Stichting Epilepsie Instellingen Nederland (SEIN) in The Netherlands.He is ranked as the world's leading expert in the field of epilepsy.
The lecture is being given in partnership with the Jeffrey Cheah Distinguished Speakers Series.
It will take place at 6pm in Auditorium 1 at Monash University, Malaysia. Admission is free.
