David Henshall

David is the Director of the FutureNeuro SFI Research Centre and Professor of Molecular Physiology and Neuroscience at RCSI University of Medicine & Health Sciences in Dublin, Ireland.

His main interests are in the molecular mechanisms and treatment of epilepsy. David is the new Chair of the ILAE’s Neurobiology Commission and writes for the Epilepsy-in-English blog which aims to disseminate new epilepsy research in plain language. David’s interest in EpiCC include understanding the relationship between temperature/humidity, epileptogenesis and drug-resistance in preclinical models, and promoting greater sustainability in basic science laboratories. His laboratory is currently undergoing evaluation and accreditation by My Green Lab.
