Your chance to have a hand in history

Would you like to represent the Epilepsy Society by having your hand cast in brass or aluminium as part of an amazing public art installation?

We are running a competition to find someone to be the ‘hand of the charity’ on a special donor wall at UCL in London, celebrating the university’s Circle of Benefactors.

Apply to be our hand in history

The Epilepsy Society works in close partnership with UCL and UCLH to carry out ground-breaking research in the field of epilepsy. We are delighted to be asked to be part of the wall and are excited to offer you the chance to nominate yourself or someone you know, to be our ‘hand’.

We are looking for someone who has epilepsy and has benefitted from the Epilepsy Society, either through our medical services, research, care or Helpline services? Or you may have benefitted through one of our advocacy campaigns.

How to enter

To enter the competition, you must be at least 18 years old and be happy to sit still for a short period of time in order to have your hand cast for the sculpture.

All you have to do to be considered, is tell us in no more than 500 words why you or the person you are nominating should be chosen for our hand sculpture. If you are nominating someone, please ensure you have their consent.

Please tell us about your/their epilepsy, the impact it has had on your/their life and how the charity has helped you/them. We would also like to know what you/they hope we will achieve in the future through epilepsy research.

Please submit your entry by completing this form.
